“Despite biotech industry promises, GMOs have not produced increased yield, drought tolerance, enhanced nutrition, or any other consumer benefit, while scientific evidence connects GMO’s with health problems, environmental damage and violation of farmers’ and consumers’ rights.”
This is another important movement against the GMO giant Monsanto, this time from South Africa. MAMSA (March Against Monsanto South Africa) is gearing up for a march on May 21, 2016. This is part of a global March Against Monsanto, held around the world.
“On 21 May 2016, South Africans will once again unite, in numerous cities throughout the country, to protest Monsanto’s aggressive attempts to force genetically modified organisms, or GMOs, and their chemical Herbicides, onto South African consumers and farmers.
